Kate moved with her husband and two children to the Hudson Valley in 1999, drawn by the small town communities and the easy access to nature.
As a librarian at Bard College for many years, Kate developed extensive research and excellent listening skills, both of which are instrumental when it comes to finding the right home for a buyer, or the right buyer for a home.
Working with Upstate Down allows her to share the unique beauty and character of the Hudson Valley with her clients, from the spectacular scenery and remarkable history of the area, to the fabulous restaurants and many craft breweries
Kate also has a deep interest in green building, and in 2016 she and her husband built a net-zero Passive house and are enjoying having no utility bills.
