The Edit: Earthy Kitchen Oasis
Welcome to The Edit — our shoppable deep dive into some of our favorite spaces.
Gorgeous natural reds make this palette pop, inspired by an in-progress project for an 1898 Tudor. If you are considering re-doing your space, these elements are the perfect way to add warmth and interest.
Bathrooms are very personal spaces, making them a great place to add comfort into the home. Walking into a space that greets you with a lightly scented candle, soft linens, and beautiful fixtures can make all the difference in your daily routine. This mood board is inspired by comfort, warmth, and sophistication.
In these inspirations images, the red marble takes center stage, ideal for a sink vanity that doubles as a work of art. Benjamin Moore Light Pewter in a plaster finish helps to soften the space and offset the rich red tones. The shower is light and airy, with gorgeous natural stone Cantera tile.
To promote the feeling of comfort, the lighting in the space should be warm and diffuse, always look for bulbs that have a warm color temperature (2700K is great for a cozy, incandescent-like look).
An oil-rubbed bronze faucet and other aged brass accents like the accordion mirror and sconce complete the look for an all-around sophisticated, lived-in look. Another layer of warmth is added with the addition of linens (think hand towels, bath towels, and bath mats) in shades of brown.
