The shoppe is our way of sharing those materials and stories with a wider audience. Located in Rhinebeck, our storefront offers a curated mix of home goods, vintage finds, handmade objects, and everyday essentials—each selected for beauty, utility, and soul. Upstate Down was born here in the Hudson Valley, but it resonates with people from all over. We serve full-time locals, weekenders, and dreamers at a distance—people who feel the pull of this region and want to root themselves in a slower, more connected way of life.

A fan of all things adventure… Mary has studied on the shores of both Massachusetts and Ireland, and spends summers exploring historic sites in the Hudson Valley.
